Vikram Patel
Dr Vikram Patel is the Paul Farmer Professor and Chair of the Department of Global Health and Social Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He co-founded Sangath, and conceptualized and mentored the program of research which led to the development of DEEP from its inception.

Gauri Divan
Dr Gauri Divan is the Director of the Child Development Group at Sangath. Her areas of interest include understanding and designing ways to optimise young’s children’s development. This includes universal interventions to support all children’s development while also considering how we can innovate to support families of young children with autism spectrum disorders in low-resource settings.

Supriya Bhavnani
Dr Supriya Bhavnani is a Co-Principal Investigator in the Child Development Group at Sangath, India. She has co-led the research program to develop and validate the DEEP tool to assess cognitive development through the crucial preschool years of early childhood at scale.
Her research also investigates the determinants of development in childhood, with a focus on the impact of psychosocial adversities on children’s well-being. She has been a recipient of the prestigious INSPIRE faculty award and Innovative Young Biotechnologist Award from the Government of India.

Debarati Mukherjee
Debarati is an Additional Professor at the Indian Institute of Public Health - Bengaluru, Public Health Foundation of India. Her research interests are in understanding how early environments influence children’s health and development (https://projectcoincide.org/), and how early experiences are embodied in biological pathways to cause lasting health impacts across the life-course.
